Health and Safety Updates

Effective March 14, masks are optional on CPSD property—this includes indoors, outdoors and on school buses Masks are strongly recommended for ECEAP and Head Start students.

Masks may be temporarily required in certain situations, such as outbreaks, illness, etc. The health department continues to recommend individuals wear well-fitting masks.

  • Staff, students, volunteers and visitors may continue to wear a well-fitting mask indoors, and their individual decisions will be supported.

  • Masks will be available for individuals who request one. Because masks are optional and a personal family decision, the district will not monitor mask wearing.

  • Masks will be required for individuals who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms at a school facility and need to isolate on site.

Everyone plays an important role in keeping our schools safe. Learn more about the district's health and safety procedures to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Full In-Person Learning Five Days a Week for 2021-22 School Year

Clover Park School District offers 5 full days of in-person instruction in our schools for grades K-12 this fall. Safety protocols will be followed in alignment with guidance from Washington State Department of Health and Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Virtual Learning Option Available

The district provides a virtual learning option for elementary and secondary students whose families have decided to not send their child back to school full-time in person.  CPSD will use state approved online Alternative Learning Education (ALE) providers:

  • Grades K-5: Pearson
  • Grades 6-12: Graduation Alliance

Key information to know as you make this decision on whether your child will participate in in-person learning or enroll in virtual learning for the 2021-22 school year:

  • Your student will be enrolled for the FULL SCHOOL YEAR in this ALE program.
  • This program is separate from the school district, so you will not have a classroom teacher(s) from your neighborhood school.
  • Your student will continue to have access to resources and supports currently provided through the school district.

Interested families please contact Roz Smith at 253-682-7847.
